Whenever you receive a new pair of glasses, your eyes always need time to adjust to them. This is especially the case if you have a new prescription. This adjustment period can last up to a week for single vision glasses, and up to two to three weeks for varifocal glasses. If you feel like you can’t see clearly through your new glasses immediately, then we advise you to wear the glasses three full days in a row. By doing this you give your eyes the time to get adjusted to the new lenses and you will likely notice that your eyesight will improve.
It is also important that the focus point of your lenses is placed at the right position in front of your eyes. Therefore we recommend that you have your glasses adjusted to have them perfectly fitted. We can always do this free of charge at one of our stores. You do not need an appointment, and you can visit us at any time it is convenient for you. If you do not live near one of our stores, you can also have your glasses adjusted by a local optician (sometimes for a small fee).
If you’re still not completely happy with your new glasses after wearing them for a few days then it could be possible that your prescription needs a slight adjustment. In this case, we advise you to visit our optician and do a new eye test. You can click here to make an appointment for an eye test. If it turns out that your prescription needs an adjustment and you are within the 30 day return period, we will replace the lenses free of charge.
